Limmud Australia prepares for its November Limmud Fest in a new location because the event has expanded and outgrown its previous location. A four-day Limmud conference will be held in Lviv, Ukraine, which was home to one of the largest Jewish communities in Europe until it was decimated by the Nazis in 1943. Limmud Lviv is expected to attract at least 900 participants. And Limmud Liverpool (6 November) boasts a program of music (classical, Jazz, Jewish), Israeli dance, comedy, theatrical performance, film, literature and other aspects of popular Jewish culture, as well as providing opportunities to explore the challenges of being Jewish in the UK today.
