Rav Shmuly founded and leads Uri L’Tzedek, an Orthodox social justice movement. He also founded Shamayim V’Aretz Institute, an animal welfare activist centre. He serves as the Dean of the Valley Beit Midrash. He has written and published  various works  on topics ranging from ethics to social justice. Limmud Rebrands; Brings Limmud and Limmud International Together

Limmud, the international network of Jewish learning communities, unveiled its new organisational logo at the closing gala of its flagship conference in Birmingham last week. This new brand identity, which will be rolled out in early 2017, expresses the dynamism and vibrancy of Limmud’s expanding international family. In 2006, there were eight Limmud communities outside the United Kingdom. Today, there are 84 Limmud communities, in 44 countries on six continents.

Limmud Awarded Jerusalem Unity Prize for promoting mutual respect among Jews around the world

(Jerusalem) Limmud, the international network of Jewish learning communities, will be awarded the Jerusalem Unity Prize in the Diaspora category on Unity Day, June 7, 2017. President of Israel Reuven Rivlin will bestow the award in Jerusalem, which recognises Limmud’s global success in bringing Jews together.
