Introducing this year’s co-chairs:

We are excited to return to co-chair Limmud Johannesburg 2023 to take us all one step further on our Jewish journeys. Limmud is a great Jewish space where we can all explore, learn, have fun and build a community; where we connect with others; and where there is something for everyone!

Both Ryan and Laura have been involved in volunteering for Limmud for many years and are raring to go. We can’t wait to share this incredible journey with you.  Join us as we build Limmud JHB 2022, taking us all one step further on our Jewish journey.

After the wonderful feedback from Limmud 2022, Ryan will be back to co-chair Conference. When not focused on his passion, community building, Ryan runs his people development consulting and coaching company, Next Peak. He was a madrich for many years in Bnei Akiva and has continued volunteering in various non-profit organisations in different roles ever since. He loves to travel and experience what the world has to offer, and is excited to share more about his social entrepreneurs’ retreat in Costa Rica with our Limmud community.

Laura is a professional software developer working in the FinTech space as a technical lead. In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing and running, having run her first half-marathon in July 2022 and currently preparing to run the half-marathon in Tel Aviv in February 2023. She is also an avid parkrunner and regular volunteer and run director at her local Parkrun event. Laura has been involved with Limmud since 2011 and co-chaired the conference in 2019. Laura is looking forward to engendering an even stronger sense of community at Limmud 2023.
