Last year, more than 800 Limmud participants – veterans, newbies and everyone in between – gathered for a weekend designed with something for everyone who was ready to take one step further on their Jewish journey.
Join us again this year in learning, dancing, singing, debating, sharing delicious meals, spending quality time with old and new friends, laughing, and more, as playing a part in building the most vibrant, energising, diverse and unifying Jewish space. Over three days, we will have the opportunity to choose from more than 140 sessions from over 100 outstanding local and international presenters, and emerging on the Sunday evening feeling invigorated, refreshed and inspired:

Introducing this year’s co-chairs:
We are excited to-chair Limmud Johannesburg 2024 to take us all one step further on our Jewish journeys. Limmud is a great Jewish space where we can all explore, learn, have fun and build a community; where we connect with others; and where there is something for everyone!
Both Laura and Warren have been involved in volunteering for Limmud and the wider community for many years and are raring to go. We can’t wait to share this incredible journey with you. Join us as we build Limmud Johannesburg 2024, taking us all one step further on our Jewish journey.
Laura
Laura is a professional software developer working in the FinTech space as a technical lead. In her spare time, she enjoys rock climbing, hiking and running, having run her first half-marathon in July 2022 and setting a 10 minute personal best at the half-marathon in Tel Aviv in February 2023. She is also an avid parkrunner and regular volunteer and run director at her local Parkrun event. Laura has been involved with Limmud since 2011 and co-chaired the conference in 2019 and 2023. Laura is looking forward to engendering an even stronger sense of community at Limmud 2024.
Warren
Warren is an Electrical Engineer and Orthodox Rabbi. He is married to Monique and has two children Ora (11) and Ariel (9). Warren matriculated from Yeshiva College and then studied in Yeshivat Har Etzion and Wits University. Warren was national chairperson of Bnei Akiva in 2007 and has held many other leadership positions in the community. Warren is very passionate about Limmud which allows us to build dynamic communities and create an engaging space where the real issues facing the Jewish People are debated. He is excited to be co-chairing Limmud Johannesburg this year.
